Is Love a pleasure?

1 John 4:8 says that God is Love!

 ...we can know Love...

...and be transformed by this supernatural power.

There are many gods in this world!  New gods are created by day!  ...for there is a god-shaped space in every one of our hearts that requires to be filled!

But there is just one God Who is Love!

There is only one God Who cares and answers our prayers ...when we come to Him through His sacrifice for us - Jesus Christ His Son!

For Love so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life

John 3:16

 Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father (to Love) but through Me.”

"Whatever you ask in My (Jesus’) name, that will I do.”

 John 14:6,13

Thus Love opened His longing arms to each of us to come to Him, to know Him intimately and personally!

Love cares for all and sundry.

He yearns to share His goodness with you and me.  In His eyes and heart each of us is precious and prized.

It has taken me years to learn to know my Lord as Love ...but it doesn’t have to take years for you!

Love is my Shepherd - to feed, guide, and shield me -  I shall not lack.

Love makes me lie down in fresh, tender green pastures;

Love leads me beside the still and restful waters.

Love refreshes and restores my life.

Psalm 23:1-3

Love leads me in the paths of righteousness - uprightness and right standing with Him-not for my earning it, but for His name's sake.

Yes, though I walk through the deep, sunless valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for Love is with me;

Love’s rod, to protect, and Love’s staff , to guide, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:3-4

Love prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

Love anoints my head with oil; my brimming cup runs over.

Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life,

And through the length of my days the house of Love, and His presence, shall be my dwelling place.

Psalm 23:5-6

O Love, You have searched me and known me.

 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thoughts from afar.

You, O Love scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

 Psalm 139:1-3

Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Love, You know it all.

You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.

 Psalm 139:4-6

Where can I go from Your Spirit, O Love?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?

 If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

 If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,

 Even there Your hand will lead me, O Love,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

 Psalm 139:7-10

If I say, Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,

Even the darkness is not dark to You, O Love,
And the night is as bright as the day.

Darkness and light are alike to You.

Psalm 139:11,12

For You, O Love, formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother's womb.

I will give thanks to You,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works, O Love,
and my soul knows it very well.

 Psalm 139:13,14

Your eyes, O Love, have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were written all the days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O Love!
How vast is the sum of them!

 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

 Psalm 139:16-18

Search me, O Love, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;

 And see if there be any hurtful way in me,

And lead me in the everlasting way.

Psalm 139:23,24

Love keeps and guards me as the pupil of His eye;

Love hides me in the shadow of His wings.

 Love is my Strength, my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer;

 Love is the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.

 Psalm 17:8;18:1,2

Love affectionately invites me:

 Come, dwell in our secret place ...*the secret place in your heart where we commune ...the place where peace resides,

 So shall you remain stable and fixed under My shadow-

 My Power that no foe can withstand.

Psalm 91:1

The longing heart of Love bids me:

Call upon Me,

And come and pray to Me,

 And I will hear and heed you.

 Jeremiah 29:12

The hopeful heart of Love pledges:

 Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me as a vital necessity and find Me

 ...when you search for Me with your whole heart.

 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity.

 Jeremiah 29:13

Love pleads with me:

Listen to My voice and know My Word and do according to all that I command you

So will you be my child, and I will be your God

…That I may heal the wounds of your past and perform the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give you a land flowing with milk and honey.

  Love challenges me:

  I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?

   Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things,

   Things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know - do not distinguish   and recognize, have knowledge of and understand.

   Jeremiah 32:27; 33:3

Love encourages me:

 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you,

 Thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil,

 Plans to give you hope and a future.

 Jeremiah 29:11

Love tenderly affirms me:

I have loved you with an everlasting love;

With loving-kindness have I drawn you

...and continued My faithfulness to you.

 Jeremiah 31:3

Love firmly assures me:

 Fear not - there is nothing to fear - for I am with you;

Do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you.

Isaiah 40:10

Love gently asserts me:

 Yes, I will help you;

Yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My victorious right hand of rightness and justice.

Fear not for I will help you.

Isaiah 40:10,13

...Love softly whispers to me:

Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?

 Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.

 Behold, I have indelibly imprinted - tattooed - a picture of you on the palm of each of My hands.

 Isaiah 49:15,16

A broken and a contrite heart Love will not despise.

Love is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit. 

Love heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, curing their pains and their sorrows.

Psalm 51:17;34:18;147:3

I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence shall my help come from? 

My help comes from Love, Who made heaven and earth.

Love will not allow my foot to slip or to be moved;

Love, Who keeps me, will not slumber nor sleep.

 Love will keep my life.

 Psalm 121:1-3,7
